It has been a deadly month for bears along highway 400 through the Muskoka and Parry Sound areas
Provincial police say about 40 bears have been struck and killed by vehicles between Port Severn and Parry Sound.
The latest incident occurred Aug. 30 when an adult bear was killed.
Her three cubs were trapped by provincial conservation staff and were transported to a wildlife rehabilitation center.
OPP remind motorists to slow down and be vigilant for wildlife along the road.
