The Queen is pleased with her Royal Trumpeter Swan.
The Friends of Midland’s Wye Marsh have received a reply, saying Queen Elizabeth is touched that they named a trumpeter swan “Elizabeth” in honour her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.
The Friends adopted the swan in the Spring and named her after the monarch.
This week they received a note from Balmoral Castle saying the Queen was very interested to hear about the swan, and about the reintroduction of the species to the province.
You may recall that in the spring, Friends of Wye Marsh adopted Trumpeter Swan C70 and named her Elizabeth in honor of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations. This week we received a response, and wanted to share that with you as well. 🦢👑 pic.twitter.com/nbZtVrN0xZ
