Part of Highway 400 was closed for four hours early this morning as OPP investigated a two-vehicle crash in Tay Township.
The road was closed between Vasey Road and Highway 12.
OPP officers along with Tay Township Fire Service and Simcoe County Paramedics arrived at the scene around 1:30 this morning.
The driver of the northbound car was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the southbound pickup truck was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The northbound lanes reopened at 5:42 this morning. The southbound lanes fully reopened just before 12:30 this afternoon.
