As of Monday morning, Essa Township fire fighters remained on the scene of a barn fire along County Road 27 north of Thornton.
Fire crews from several departments responded Sunday afternoon.
The OPP and South Simcoe Police closed roads in the area as crews from several departments battled the flames.
