A new tourism project is being launched by the Dufferin Board of Trade.
The project, called Dufferin Tourism Trails, will give local businesses the opportunity to identify in certain categories that appeal to locals and visitors’ areas of interest.
Board of Trade officials say it’s a network of virtual trails across Dufferin County, showcasing businesses in 9 special categories:
– Live + Work Local,
– Black-Owned
– Women-Owned
– Pet-Friendly
– LGBTQ+ Safe Spaces
– Environmentally Responsible
– Socially Responsible
– Accessible
– Tourism Attraction
The businesses can also get coaching sessions on important topics that local tourism operators need to stay relevant, compliant, and in-demand.
Businesses can also benefit from the board of trade’s videography and advertising campaigns, to help increase traffic on their websites and people coming through their doors.
The trail categories have been carefully created for tourism-ready businesses in the region.
