Two prominent Bracebridge businesses have come through in a big way for their local Manna Food Bank and they are urging others in Muskoka to do the same.
On Saturday, Santa’s Muskoka Ridge Seasonal Family Campground, the sister park to Santa’s Village, held a kid’s day event which featured a dunk tank in order to raise funds.
Via the effort, the park initially raised $750 and over 100 pounds of food for the food bank, but that was not the end.
Donations kept coming in and they ended up raising $900.
Then Santa’s Village matched that total, making the initial grand total from both businesses $1,800!

UPDATE: Since our story first ran Santa’s Village has made good on its initial pledge to match up to $1500 raised by the Campground which the Campground has since accomplished through its fundraising. This makes the total monetary amount raised to date (Aug 8th 2022) $3,000!
The two businesses are now challenging other parks in the area to match or better their donation for their own local food banks.
Brad Paterson, the event’s coordinator at Santa’s Muskoka Ridge Seasonal Family Campground, says it was the first time they were able to hold the fundraiser since 2019 due to the pandemic.
