A major road construction project is starting in Orillia.
The second phase of the Centennial Drive reconstruction project started today (Tuesday).
The contractor is mobilizing and completing preliminary work, but breaking ground and heavy construction are anticipated to occur later in August.
The work will last for about six weeks on Mississaga Street East between Front Street and Lakeview Avenue.
Crews will be replacing underground sewage, water, and drainage pipes, as well as reconstructing the road.
Access on the road will only be for emergency vehicles, residences, and businesses.
