Council got the 2021 Annual Report from the Goderich Port Management Corporation.
Rowland Howe, the President of the GPMC shared the annual report reflected that there was no change in budget for this year, and spending was where it was meant to be.
He also said that the estimate to complete the 15-acre harbour expansion was expected to be $47 million, and that the environmental assessment was completed and approved.
The GPMC has been invited to submit a comprehensive proposal to the next stage, and say that now the provincial election is done, they are able to identify possible provincial programs that could supplement contributions of stakeholders.
Howe also shared that the corporation had an application initiated for federal funding to build out next phase of the Dock 8 wharf expansion.
