Provincial Police say one person has died after being struck by a vehicle in Eugenia.
Grey Bruce OPP, Grey Highlands Firefighters and Grey County paramedics responded to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and four pedestrians just after 10 p.m. Tuesday night on Inkerman Street in Grey Highlands.
Police say one pedestrian was pronounced dead after lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
Three other pedestrians who were hit by the car were transported to hospital with injuries OPP describe as serious, some of them life-threatening.
The motor vehicle involved in the incident fled the scene.
Grey Bruce OPP say they have identified the driver and are continuing the investigation with the assistance of the West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team (TIME).
