Houle won the 178 kilometre stage through the Pyrenees in 4 hours 23 minutes & 47 seconds
He becomes the first Canadian to win a stage at the Tour de France since Steve Bauer in 1988
Houle from Sainte-Perpetue, Quebec, crossed the line 70 seconds ahead of the runners up including Israel-Premier Tech teammate Michael Woods of Ottawa.
