The community of Markdale is very active these days and among the events being conducted is a 100th anniversary celebration of the Markdale Curling Club.
Heather Miner from the Markdale Golf & Curling Club was a guest with Great Paul Hill on the 560 CFOS Morning Show and she outlined the long history of the club.
The Curling Club is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and among the major events is a century dance set for Saturday.
As a testament to the impact of the Golf & Curling Club in the community, tickets to the dance have been sold out.
