Grey County council has approved a plan for a subdivision in the Town of The Blue Mountains known as Blue Vista.
It will have 82 single detached homes and 72 semi-detached dwellings. The semi detached dwellings will be on 36 lots.
The Blue Vista development by Collingwood based Royalton Homes’ website shows boxy modern dwellings listed at prices starting at $1 million for a semi-detached and $1.3 million for a bungalow or detached home.
Blue Vista says phases one, two and three are sold out and the final phase is currently for sale.
A Grey County staff report says the new development will be located within a Recreational Resort Area designation which is a designated settlement area, along the Town of The Blue Mountains and Town of Collingwood boundary, south of Highway 26.
The county says changes have been made to the subdivision since its application was received in 2019, in response to comments received. There will now be a slightly different road network and fewer dwellings than originally proposed.
A series of new roads will be built, connecting to Grey Road 21 and Stoneleigh Drive.
The subject lands are undeveloped and about 21 hectares in size, surrounding this site are a mixture of developed and soon to be developed lands.
Blue Vista’s website says work on phase one is slated to start this summer.
