While not official, various sources connected to the Owen Sound Bug Juice NorthStars and the city of Owen Sound confirm the opening game in the Senior Lacrosse Semifinals between the NorthStars and Oakville will be Saturday night at 7 pm in Owen Sound.
The NorthStars finished 2nd in league play at 9-6 & 1.

Landon Lorenowicz of Hepworth, a member of Kilian Academy took gold in the 14-year-old boys gi combined under 69 kg division.
7-year-old Kristahn Kilian won bronze, competing in the 8-year-old boys gi under 27 kg division.

The 2022 Next Gen Toronto Jiu-Jitsu Tournament was hosted at the Toronto Metropolitan University, Toronto Ontario. with 719 athletes competing for gold including two athletes representing Kilian Academy.
Hepworth’s Landon Lorenowicz once again took gold in the 14-year-old teenage boys gi combined under 69kg division. Fresh from being crowned Ontario Champion a week ago, the thirteen-year-old athlete continues to set the Ontario BJJ circuit ablaze. Landon has made the Academy his summer home whilst competing in Ontario, fighting throughout the Middle East and Europe under the banner of the Team Nogueira Fighting Club.
7-year-old Kristahn Kilian made his debut at the tournament and was able to secure bronze, competing in the 8-year-old boys gi under 27kg division. Kristahn was also the first athlete under the age of 13 to represent the academy at a tournament. “Kristahn is an amazing young athlete with a zest for both life and BJJ. Our program at The Academy is built around the foundation of conflict management and resolution, as opposed to tournament jiu-jitsu. Kristhan’s participation, however, has shown us the need to bolster our program with tournament jiu-jitsu,” stated Abrie Kilian, Program Director at Kilian Academy.
