The Sports Wall of Fame program began in 2017 to recognize teams, athletes and builders from ALL sports within the Municipality of Kincardine. The 2022 Sports Wall of Fame induction ceremony will combine the inductees from 2020 and 2021 as no ceremonies have been held since 2019 due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Since 2017 there have been 25 athletes, 6 builders and 1 team inducted onto the Municipality of Kincardine Sports Wall of Fame. The three categories included in this program are:
1. Athlete – an athlete is an individual from the Municipality of Kincardine who has excelled in one or more sports with distinction. He/she must have competed at Provincial, National, Division 1 or International Levels. Amateur and professional athletes are included in this category.
2. Team – the team must have won a recognizable Provincial, National or International Championship (i.e., OMHA, OHA, OBA, OFSAA, etc.) or have made a significant and unique contribution to the history or heritage of sport in the Municipality of Kincardine.
3. Builders – individuals or organizations from the Municipality of Kincardine or support the Municipality of Kincardine teams or sport organizations will be considered under this category.
The 2022 Sports Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, September 20th. The inductees who will be recognized at this ceremony include the following:

” Keith Davidson (builder), Dave Dunlop (builder)
” Earl Farrell (builder), Kristen Grohs (builder)
” Frank Pearce (builder)
” Lisa Nicholson Holtby (athlete)
” Clarke Pollock (athlete)
” Herman Young (builder)
The Induction Ceremony will take place at Bar Down in Kincardine. Supporters of inductees are invited to purchase tickets to attend. Tickets are available at the Davidson Centre at a cost of $30.00 per ticket.
