Police are investigating a shooting in Wasaga Beach.
On Thursday at 10:54 p.m., OPP responded to a 9-1-1 call at a residence on Bianca Crescent.
Officers found a woman who’d suffered a gunshot wound.
She was taken to the hospital, treated, and released with non-life threatening injuries.
The OPP Canine Unit along with Emergency Response Team Members assisted in the investigation however were unable to locate any involved suspects, who are believed to have fled northbound in the area in the area of Allegra Drive.
Investigators believe that this is not a random but rather a targeted isolated incident that remains under investigation.
The OPP reminds all members of the public to be aware of their personal safety at all times.
