Economic Development officials in Huron County have picked up international accolades.
Business Retention & Expansion International (BREI) has awarded the county’s economic development department for their 2021 Business Retention and Expansion (BR&E) project.
Results from Huron County’s BR&E project were released this April, finding the majority of local businesses were locally owned and operated, and have been in operation for at least 11 years.
A final project report detailing high-level findings with action plan recommendations is forthcoming.
“It’s through projects like BR&E’s that we really connect with our local business community to find out what they need and how we can better work together for success,” said Warden Glen McNeil.
“The Economic Development team executed this project exceptionally well, so I am unsurprised by the recognition they have received for their effort. It was a job very well done.”
