Jonny Pickett of Wiarton & partner Steven Abrams from Georgetown won the 1st annual Calgary Open Beach Volleyball Tournament.
Pickett & Abrams were the champions in an elite field of 24 teams.
The pair will compete this weekend at the Vancouver Open.
Pickett & Abrams will also be heading to California to train with the US National program as a primer for the Canada Games at St Catherines in August.
In September they will head to Maceio, Brazil to represent Canada in the University Games
