Rogers Communications President and CEO Tony Staffieri says that the company is investigating the cause of Friday’s service outage that cut off users from cell phone and internet access and brought business to a standstill.
Late yesterday afternoon in a written statement, Staffieri issued the apology, saying that the telecommunications giant was particularly concerned that some users were unable to reach emergency services.
He said that Rogers was addressing the issue as an urgent priority.
Staffieri also that the company’s networks and systems were nearly back to being fully operational.
