Many Rogers customers are experiencing internet and cell phone outages this morning.
There are reports of Rogers and Fido customers around Ontario being unable to connect, including here in Grey Bruce.
It means some debit machines may not be working. Bayshore Broadcasting News has received reports from residents who have encountered difficulties paying for coffee and gas this morning, so you may want to have some cash on you today—- not all ATMs are working for people either.
There’s no word on the cause of the outage or when Rogers service will be restored, but the outage appears to be widespread.
Rogers Senior Vice President of Access Networks & Operations Kye Prigg told CBC news that the company is working hard to get services back up and running, but that it was unlikely to be solved today.
We know how important it is for our customers to stay connected. We are aware of issues currently affecting our networks and our teams are fully engaged to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We will continue to keep you updated as we have more information to share.
