The Grey Bruce Health Unit is holding clinics over the summer to help residents get up to date shots of the Covid vaccine.
The GBHU says they will be holding these clinics in various communities throughout the season, as they say getting a shot and staying up to date on vaccinations is the best defence against infection and severe outcomes of the virus.
GBHU Physician Consultant Dr. Rim Zayed says the summer is the ideal time to get up to date as early indications and data suggest another wave of cases is possible this fall.
“Public health strongly recommends that all eligible residents get up to date on their Covid-19 vaccines to ensure they have the best available protection against severe illness and death and to help maintain the progress that’s been made in combating Covid-19,” says Zayed.
The GBHU has also partnered with Go-Vaxx to provide supplementary clinics over the summer and fall in parts of the region which has lower vaccine uptake.
A full list of clinics can be found here, and will be updated as more clinics are added.
