There’s a call for volunteers to help Ukrainian newcomers settled in Huron County.
Immigration Partnership Program Manager Kristin Crane says they’re hoping that anyone with housing will come forward, in order to help get the wheels in motion for finding a place for the influx of newcomers.
This is the second time where the Immigration Partnership team has put out a call for volunteers, and so far they’ve had an enthusiastic response from the community.
Originally 90 residents came forward, offering housing, transportation, and English language lessons.
If you’re interested in volunteering resources, you can do so by filling out the form on the Huron County Economic Development website.
