A camper who went missing in Awenda Provincial Park in Georgian Bay Twp. has been found safe.
He’d been reported missing earlier today after he wasn’t seen after he’d left his campsite.
At 4 pm OPP reported that the 66-year-old was located by the Aviation unit on a property near the park.
He was taken to an area hospital by County of Simcoe Paramedics for examination and treatment of any injuries he may have sustained in today’s weather.
Investigators wish to thank the various EMS members and members of the public for their assistance during this successful search.
