Several businesses along Ontario’s West Coast are being recognized by the County of Huron for their accessibility.
The county announced the 2022 recipients of the Award of Merit for Barrier-Free Design.
The awards are presented annually to owner(s) of a building or facility, whether private business or public sector organization, that has been designed or renovated with special regard to accessibility for persons with a disability.
The 2022 Accessibility Award winners for the private business sector include:
- Sweets N’ Treats, Blyth
- McDonald’s, Wingham
- Deams Holdings Inc / Blyth Library
The 2022 winner for the public sector category goes to:
- Huron County Museum and Library
