A traffic stop in Orillia has led to the arrest of three people on drug charges.
The OPP says a vehicle was stopped for a traffic infraction early Monday morning, when police identified the passenger who was wanted for violating release conditions from a previous charge.
A 54 year old woman was taken into custody and police say a quantity of cocaine was located in the vehicle, so all three of its occupants were arrested.
As a result, Police have charged the following individuals:
Vicki ZIMMERMAN (54), of Orillia, with the following:
Possession of schedule 1 Substance- Cocaine, CSDA 4(1)
Fail to Comply with release order- other than attend court, CC 145(5)(a)
The accused was released on an Undertaking and will appear on August 2, 2022, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, Ontario.
Shantel BYLOW (35), of Orillia, with the following:
Possession of schedule 1 Substance- Cocaine, CSDA 4(1)
Obstruct Peace Officer, CC 129(a)
The accused was released on an Undertaking and will appear on August 2, 2022, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, Ontario.
Donald SLESSOR (67), of Severn, with the following:
Possession of schedule 1 Substance- Cocaine, CSDA 4(1)
Drive without proper headlights, HTA 62(1)
Fail to notify change of address- licence, HTA O.reg 340/94 s. 33(1)
Fail to surrender insurance card, CAIA s. 3(1)
The accused was released on an Undertaking and will appear on August 2, 2022, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, Ontario.
