The deadline to nominate someone for a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee commemorative coin is coming up.
In honour of 70 years of service of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MP Alex Ruff is welcoming nominations for constituents you feel are worthy of being recognized with a Platinum Jubilee Commemorative Coin.
The deadline is Thursday, June 30th.
If you know someone you feel is deserving of recognition for their community work with a Platinum Jubilee Commemorative Coin, ruff is encouraging you to nominate them.
Ruff says they can be volunteers, people who have contributed through arts, culture or heritage, community builders, good neighbours, community services, first responders, educators, coaches, community workers or service club volunteers, someone who strengthens the community through their business or through agriculture, enterprise or anything else.
The plan is to present some of the coins to residents at a barbecue later this summer.
