Two women have been arrested, following a shoplifting investigation in Orillia.
The OPP was called to a theft in progress on Sunday afternoon at a store on Murphy Road, where officers located two suspects attempting to leave the location.
They were taken into custody and police located the stolen items, along with a small quantity of drugs.
As a result of the investigation, police say two people have been charged:
Sara GARDINER (33), of Orillia, was charged with:
· Theft Under $5,000, CC 334(b)
· Possession of a schedule 1 substance- Cocaine, CDSA 4(1)
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, on July 26, 2022.
Cheryl PAWIS (43), of Orillia, was charged with:
· Theft Under $5,000, CC 334(b)
