An arrest has been made after police received a public complaint about suspicious activity in Clearview.
The OPP stopped a van late last night as part of the investigation and while officers could not substantiate any criminal activity, the vehicle was found to have critical mechanical defects.
As a result, police say the plates were seized and the vehicle was towed.
However, a short time later, the same officers stopped the same van bearing different plates from another vehicle, so the driver was arrested and charged.
