The OPP in Wasaga Beach is ready for an influx of visitors this summer.
With the nicer weather coming, and scheduled events running in the area, the OPP have increased their presence with officers on foot patrol, as well as those on all terrain vehicles (ATVs), motorcycles and marine.
Extra OPP resources such as members from the Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine and Auxiliary members will also be on patrol, while the OPP Command Post will be operational in Beach Area 1.
OPP continue to make public safety our number one priority. We are committed to traffic safety and will be conducting a variety of traffic enforcement activities within areas of concern in our communities. This includes our roadways, trails, waterways and beaches. There will be zero tolerance for impaired driving, or any illegal activities in any area of our community.
Visitors and local residents can expect to continue to see a high visibility police presence throughout the remainder of the summer, especially on weekends. Members of the public are asked to report suspicious or unlawful activity by calling OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
