Charges have been laid after a boat capsized on Rebecca Lake in Lake of Bays.
The OPP were called on Saturday morning about a possible drunk person in the water, who had been tossed from their boat.
Upon arrival, officers placed the individual under arrest and transported them to the Huntsville Detachment for further breath tests.
As a result of the investigation, police say Oleg RIJENKO, 56 years of age of Vaughan, has been charged with:
· Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
· Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
· Assault a Peace Officer
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Huntsville on July 26, 2022.
