A man from the Niagara Region has been charged in connection to a child luring incident in Collingwood.
Police say the investigation began late last year, when investigators learned in October 2021 the man had allegedly started communicating with a youth in Collingwood over a social media and subsequently travelled to Collingwood for a sexual purpose.
As a result of the investigation, police say Daniel MARTIN, 64 years of age, of Welland ON has been charged with the following offences.
· Sexual Interference
· Child Luring
· Sexual Assault
· Obtaining Sexual Services for Consideration from Person Under 18 Years
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood, on July 5, 2022.
