An Education & Awareness Event is being held at Glen Huron Park in Springwater to learn about sudden cardiac arrest and how to use a new AED installed in the area.
Thanks to the contributions of 61 residents, a new outdoor SaveStation with an AED was recently installed at the park, after a community member suffered a cardiac crisis several years ago and was brought back to life with an automated external defibrillator or AED.
Beginning at 6 tonight, Action First Aid will share with attendees:
- The realities of sudden cardiac arrest
- Difference between SCA and a heart attack
- How to perform CPR
- How to use the (AED)’
