The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is reporting 79 new COVID-19 cases today.
No new deaths are being reported in the first update since Wednesday.
There have been two new hospitalizations.
Currently, there are 18 people hospitalized with the virus throughout the region including 2 in ICUs.
