A dog has been reunited with its family, after being rescued by an Orillia OPP officer.
Police were advised of a dog in distress near Warminster Sideroad yesterday.
They say Constable Martin Hill fought off snakes, bugs and poison ivy in order to climb down a steep ravine to rescue the stressed out canine named Sanka.
He had been reported missing on Monday and returned home in good health.
