The Owen Sound Baysox walked away winners in their home opener.
Greg Slater paced the Baysox offence with three hits — one of them a home run — as the Baysox doubled up the Mansfield Cubs 10-5 in North Dufferin Baseball League action Wednesday night at Tom Williams Park in Owen Sound.
Bailey Durocher picked up the win on the mound.
The Baysox are now 2-4 on the season.
Owen Sonud’s next game is Thursday, June 2 against the Midland Mariners.
