The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is reporting 139 new COVID-19 cases and 1 death.
Today’s update – the first since Wednesday – also includes 2 new hospitalizations.
There are currently 27 people hospitalized throughout the region including 5 people in ICUs.
The health unit has reported 12 virus-related deaths so far this month.
