The OPP has made a quick arrest after a vehicle was stolen in Penetanguishene.
Police say a vehicle theft was reported from a business on Overhead Bridge Road on Tuesday night and a short time later, the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody on Simcoe County Road 93.
Officers completed their investigation and have charged Jeffrey Bruce TELL 45 years of Penetanguishene with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
- Theft over $5,000 of a Motor Vehicle
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition contrary to a Prohibition Order
- Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Operation while Prohibited
The accused was released on a recognizance and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.
