The County of Huron is moving onto the next phase of planning, to create more affordable housing in the region.
Between January and April of 2022, a consultant completed a housing supply analysis, recommending ways to utilize various sites around Huron County to increase housing.
This includes intensification of existing properties, as well as potential sale and acquisition opportunities.
For Phase 2, architects will prepare plans for the sites identified as priority, and it will be recommended that county staff begin pursuing the required approvals to make each site “shovel ready.”
