The OPP have charged a 38 year-old man, in connection with an incident Monday in Wasaga Beach which a senior was shoved to the ground after being robbed of cash. The suspect, from Wasaga Beach, faces charges of robbery with violence, impersonating a police officer, and failing to comply with a probation order,
The robbery happened just outside a bank where the elderly victim had just withdrawn some cash. He was approached by a man who claimed to be a cop, and ordered him to show his wallet. When the victim complied his wallet was emptied and he was knocked to the ground.
The accused is due in Collingwood court in July.
