The City of Orillia is actively recruiting young people to apply to the Sunshine Youth Senate.
“The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow, and an opportunity like the Orillia Sunshine Youth Senate is a wonderful way for today’s youth to develop those key leadership skills,” said Mayor Steve Clarke. “Council strongly supports the Orillia Sunshine Youth Senate, not only for the opportunities it presents for Orillia and area youth, but also for the opportunities it presents Council to hear about what matters to our younger citizens. We want to engage our youth in local decision making and provide them first-hand experience in the workings of municipal government.”
