Two COVID-19 outbreaks at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital have been declared over.
The 33-bed Soldiers’ One medical unit was brought out of outbreak status on May 9.
It was originally declared on April 19 and resulted in 13 patients and 2 staff testing positive for COVID-19.
Earlier, the 44-bed Integrated Medicine and Rehab Services unit also went into outbreak on April 13, resulting in 9 patients and 1 staff testing positive. That outbreak was declared over on April 23.
Both units are open to admissions, and the hospital maintains its policy of essential visitors only.
