The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is reporting 259 new COVID-19 cases and 4 deaths.
Today’s update which is the first since Monday also includes 7 new hospitalizations.
Currently, there are 33 people hospitalized in the region with the virus including three people in ICUs.
To date, 86 percent of the over 5 population here have received one vaccine dose, while 83 percent have received a second. 54 percent of the over 12 population in the region have received a third dose.
