OPP have laid multiple charges after a disturbance call involving a man armed with a knife, banging on doors, and threatening residents inside their apartments.
Thursday morning police responded to an apartment building on Perry Street in Clearview Township.
While en route, officers received word that a man inside the building was armed with a knife and banging on people’s doors. No injuries were sustained during the incident.
The man then fled in a black Chevrolet Cruze and police heard he was traveling erratically at high rates of speed.
They found the vehicle in the Collingwood area and commenced a traffic stop.
A 29-year-old New Lowell man’s been charged with:
· Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
· Criminal Harassment – (Six Counts)
· Dangerous operation
· Race a motor vehicle – Stunt
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
