Springwater is trying to save the turtles.
Council has approved a request from Scales Nature Park to install five Saving Turtles At Risk Today (START) signs along the North Simcoe Rail Trail.
The proposed signage is intended to raise turtle awareness and increase community engagement on turtle conservation.
Staff were also directed to request additional sign locations and investigate the cost implications should the signage not be provided by the START project.
