Ramara’s annual aerial mosquito control program starts this week.
It will affect areas of the Township along the shores of Lake Simcoe and Lake Couchiching from the Talbot river in the South to Fawn Bay in the North.
The spring Mosquito Aerial Larviciding program has been in place for over 40 years; however, the current method is more environmentally friendly and most cost efficient.
The product the Township uses, AquaBac 200G, is manufactured from a corn base and is designed to specifically target mosquito larvae.
