Hydro One is advising Grey County residents of a few upcoming power outages in the Town of Durham and Municipality of Meaford.
Hydro One says on April 24 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., about 5,800 customers in the Town of Durham and the surrounding area will experience an outage as crews work on upgrades at the Hanover Transmission Station. The work includes replacing insulators, which are needed for delivering safe and reliable power.
About 1,100 customers in Paisley and 957 in Ayton and the surrounding areas including those in Neustadt, will also experience an outage during this time as part of the work.
On May 1 from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., about 4,800 Hydro One customers in the Municipality of Meaford and the surrounding area will experience an outage as crews relocate a power line for a project by the municipality.
About 264 customers will experience a slightly longer outage from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. as part of the work.
