Collingwood Community Clean-up Days begin today.
The event encourages everyone to take action on litter, so while you are out for a walk, visiting a park or cycling the trails, please consider bringing a bag to collect garbage or recycling and take part in the town’s annual clean-up.
A Community Earth Day Event will start at 2:45 this afternoon with a flag raising, followed by Conversations with Council. That’s when members of the community are invited to come chat with Council members about green initiatives and other municipal matters of interest.
To participate in Community Clean-up days residents can pick-up garbage or recycling bags and gloves during the Earth Day event, and also from the Collingwood Public Library or at Town Hall during regular business hours until May 10th.
