Kick off your spring by giving back to nature with three events in Orillia.
The Refillery District is holding its annual refill fundraiser today, when for every container you refill (BYOC or Deposit Jar Program), $5 will be donated to the Couchiching Conservancy.
The Dragonfly Room Salon Spa is hosting an Earth Month fundraiser and accepting donations as well as offering a gift bag of Aveda products- a sustainable global brand that ethically sources all of its ingredients, is cruelty-free (tested on humans), vegan, 100% wind powered, and uses post-consumer recycled plastic for all of its packaging.
You can also join the Conservancy tomorrow (Saturday, April 23) for a group clean-up at Scout Valley in Orillia, or choose to pick up garbage throughout your neighbourhood or favourite walking place.
Garbage bags will be provided at the group clean up, but please bring your own gloves.
“By picking up litter we help improve habitat and prevent harm to wildlife,” says Tanya Clark, Development Coordinator for the Couchiching Conservancy.
