The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is reporting 1,054 new COVID-19 cases and 14 deaths.
It’s the first update since last Wednesday (April 13th).
Deaths include a woman and a man between 65 and 79 years old, four women over 79, and 8 men over 79. All were from Simcoe County.
Today’s update also includes 2 new hospitalizations.
Currently, there are 16 people hospitalized with the virus in our region including two active cases in ICUs.
