No one was injured and no charges are being laid after a driver accidentally struck a building in downtown Owen Sound Tuesday afternoon.
Owen Sound Police say they responded to the incident just after 1:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of 2nd Avenue East.
According to police, a female driver from Priceville was attempting to park her car and overtook a barrier, striking the side of the building and shattering the window of a business.
The city’s Chief Building Official attended to assess the structural integrity of the building and determine whether the vehicle could be moved.
Police say the car was removed safely and toward from the scene.
“We are very fortunate that there were no injuries in this collision and there will be no charges laid,” Owen Sound Police Const. Investigating Officer Chris Mahy says in a release.
