CurlON and the Port Elgin Curling Club are announcing the 2023 Ontario Scotties and the 2023 Ontario Tankard will both be held in Port Elgin.
The events will held January 23rd – 29th, 2023.
With her recent win of the Scotties at the Thornhill Club, Team Homan will have a berth at the 2023 event.
Earlier this year, the 2022 Ontario Tankard presented by Bruce Power was held at the Port Elgin Curling Club. About 5,500 people attended the event, which was held at 50 per cent due to COVID-19 restrictions.
More than $22,000 was raised by area curling clubs through ticket sales and over $4,500 was raised through the Rotary Club of Port Elgin 50/50 draw in support of Women’s House Serving Grey Bruce, Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation, Canadian Tire Jumpstart and the food bank.
Over 175 volunteers helped make the event possible.
